Has anyone ever gotten that sudden rush, where you remember a whole lot of something all at once? Or you think you remember all of it, but then there's pieces missing...

Hahaha wow I'm dizzy. Okay, sitting down.

Um- well all right, I won't beat around the bush. Nami, Zack? Buffy? Draco? Meryl? What about anybody from home? Luke, Asch?

I don't need help, I'm all right to get to the village myself, but a friendly voice would be nice to listen to for the walk in. Maybe some conversation while I catch my breath. Ah, how about- hm. Your first day here in Luceti; how was it for you?

[There's silence from Luke at first.

He just shuts his eyes and smiles, completely trusting Guy to lead the way for that short amount of time.]

Hey, Luke?

[Not noticing that glance, Luke opens his eyes and looks up at him.]

Huh?

I trust you.

[... Heh. Way to make him feel small, Guy.

He breaks eye contact, if only to lower his head to bump his cheek against Guy's shoulder. And to combat that gnawing guilt in his chest that tells him he should tell Guy these things, not cower away from it all.]

I trust you more.

[Guy ducks his head until he catches Luke's eyes, pulling his gaze up with him as he straightens. Eye contact here.]

I trust your judgment. If there's anything you want to tell me later, I don't be mad at you for keeping it from me.

[Ah. Caught. Luke's eyes widen with surprise, even though he thinks to himself that he shouldn't be surprised.

The contact breaks once more, and again he presses his cheek to Guy's shoulder. Not to just bump it, though. Now he's just resting it there.]

I'm sorry. I-It's okay if you want to get mad... [Even though Guy's kind of scary when he's mad, especially at Luke.]

Nah. I think I'm all right not knowing for now. [Guy lifts a hand to rest on Luke's hair before ruffling it.] I want you to trust me too, after all.

[The action makes most of the guilt and discomfort and memories wash away, and he lets out a laugh while he gently bats at Guy's arm.]

Okay, okay! I meant what I said, you know.

All right. Next time I get irritated with you and you get all snippy with me, I'll remind you of this.

Hey, what? Trusting you doesn't mean I can't get snippy with you!

No no, about the part where you said I could get mad. That's still on, right? I have one free 'get mad at you' for whenever I want to use it, right?

[He sounds more fond than annoyed, though.]

That sounds a little unbalanced. [That's okay though. Guy can change the subject with someone he learned from Ion not long ago.]

[Luke jerks upright at that, and he looks away with a blush covering his face. He's not ashamed at all, but oooh, he knows he's in for teasing.]
